Ruby's Remembrance Session - Vancouver Dog Photography

When Shawn got a gift certificate for his partner and her senior dog Ruby, he added this message for her “May this help capture an immortal memory of how much you love Ruby and how much she loves you in return." And knew at that moment that this session was going to be something special. We had a lovely consultation at her house and hearing Lucy talking about her best friend and how special she was just confirmed that idea.

When discussing the location, she told me she loved green, and that she enjoyed walks in the Forest with Ruby, but we also talked about how much Ruby loved the beach so we decided to split the session into two different scenes, so we went to Pacific Spirit Park and Spanish Banks in Vancouver.

As Ruby’s been getting older, Lucy has noticed that her activity level is beginning to slow. This helped me set the pace for a calm and relaxed experience for them, which provided an opportunity for me to capture their connection and create meaningful memories that will last forever.
