Featured Dog Photo Session: Finn at Spanish Banks, Vancouver
I knew this was going to be a great session as soon as I met Jen for her pre-session consultation, her eyes lit when she talked about Finn! She has been following me on social media for a while and I could tell she was super excited about finally making this session happen, and I am so glad she did because Finn couldn’t have been a better model.
When I asked what was her favourite thing about him she said: “Finn is a 4-year-old Jack Russell Terrier and it is hard to pick just one thing I love about him! JR’s are known to be feisty but Finn balances that out with a calm, loving disposition. He is completely tuned into the people he loves and he makes us laugh all of the time. My favourite trick that he does is called "sit pretty" where he balances on his haunches and I love how much he loves the ocean”.
Our pet photo session took place at Spanish Banks, in Vancouver. We had another place in mind, but we ended up changing the location at the last minute as Finn absolutely loves the water and we thought that was the perfect location, not only because of the gorgeous view of the city but there is also plenty of space for dogs to play and run.
I absolutely love Vancouver when it’s sunny! the weather was perfect that day, and we got the most amazing session. Did I mention that Finn was super easy-going, and an as-long-as-my-mom’s-here-I’m-happy kind of guy? In a few words, he was a total sweetheart.
I love creating art for my clients that showcase the beauty of their dogs, their personality, their unconditional love! There is a story behind every portrait that each of them choose to display at their home. In this case, I think Finn somehow knew how important this session was for his mom and he just posed like a pro! We all laughed all loud, it was such a nice afternoon, we had so much fun together :)
